Kenny Marks Records Debut In Japan

(Tokyo)-Pop singer Kenny Marks' records Follow Him originally released in 1982 and Right Where You Are released in 1984, have both been released in the mainstream Japanese music market on the MJM/Cool Sound label.

"Kenny's brand of straight ahead pop music has always been popular in Japan so it was a perfect fit for our label" commented MJM's Mark Joseph. "These are records that I grew up listening to and always dreamed could one day speak to a wider audience than the one they originally reached. It was great to be a part of making that happen."

"I have always believed that music should touch the heart, speak to our lives and encourage us to pursue faith and better relationships," said Marks. "Music is uniquely positioned to both entertain and encourage simultaneously…this is so powerful and important."

Both albums are slated for a Fall 2001 release and were produced by noted producer Keith Thomas, widely known throughout the recording industry as a producer for artists like Whitney Houston, BeBe & CeCe Winans and Amy Grant.

"I had the opportunity to work with Keith and experience first hand what thoughtful and purposeful record production was all about," noted Marks. "Keith brought a high degree of musicality to these songs."

Marks who still occasionally tours, is focusing most of his time on his current career as an on air television personality in the Nashville area.
