MJM to Release Veteran Artist Roby Duke Records in Japan

(Los Angeles)-After nearly a year of negotiations, MJM Entertainment and Coolsound have announced a licensing deal with Good News records to release three albums by veteran recording artist Roby Duke in Japan. Blue Eyed Soul, Down to Business and Come Let Us Reason are all set to hit the mainstream Japanese music market in early August.

"This is a great opportunity for Roby's fans in Japan", said Ric Rodeheaver operations manager at MJM. "Roby had toured there a few years ago and is eager to return."

Duke's memories of Japan include his favorite food tonkatsu which he calls a Japanese version of chicken fried steak. While visiting Japan he even wrote a song, Talk To Me which appeared on the Blue Eyed Soul.

"Little did I know then that I would come to love Japan so very much," he said of his experiences there.

Mark Joseph of MJM who finalized the deal with Good News believes Duke may be poised for a second career in Japan.

"Roby's records weren't released widely in the U.S.," said Joseph. "But at least in Japan mainstream fans will get a chance to hear his music and his message."

Toshi Nakada of Cool Sound has been a long time fan of Roby's and is excited to have an artist of his caliber join his roster.

"We're grateful for the chance to work with Roby and thankful that his Japanese fans will be able to enjoy his music," he noted.
