Pete Carlson Records Debut in Japan

(Tokyo)-Nearly twenty years after their initial release, Pete Carlson's Dreamer's Dream, originally released in 1982 and Child of the Heavenly, released in 1984, have been released to the mainstream Japanese market on the MJM/Cool Sound label. Both are slated for a summer release.

"Staying true to the original recordings and artwork of both these albums has been one of the exciting aspects of having these projects distributed through in Japan," says Carlson, an independent producer living in Nashville.

"In comparison to many other projects, bringing these two albums to Japan was a very smooth ride," stated MJM's Ric Rodeheaver who coordinated the release. "Because of our long-standing relationship with Cool Sound and the fact that Pete owned these masters we were able to proceed very quickly," he noted.

"I'm grateful that the timeless message of the songs can continue to be heard and enjoyed by new audiences throughout the world," added Carlson.

"These are strong records that are finally finding a mainstream audience," noted MJM's Mark Joseph. "We're glad that in a small way that is happening now for Pete."
